Biography

I was born and raised in Branch County. In 1995, I graduated from Siena Heights College with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. I then worked as a Social Worker for Nottawa Community School. In 1998, while working there, I received the Lesson from the Best Award from Channel 16 News out of South Bend as Counselor of the Year. I later earned my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2004. I then worked as a School Social Worker for the Branch County Intermediate School District, where I conducted assessments for emotional impairment and autistic impairments. In 2016, I began working for the Hope House and MVA as a Resident Aide. I briefly left but returned as a therapist, and I have been employed here ever since. At the Hope House, I conduct numerous group therapy sessions. I have been a group facilitator since 2005. I love my position at the Hope House and MVA and have found a family among my wonderful coworkers.

Some of my hobbies include riding my motorcycle, watching my sons in their sporting events and choir events. I love hanging out with my wife and doing different things with her, I also love going to concerts and love all different types of music. I go to two to three concerts a month.
